Ive been attempting to learn French for decades. The Brainscape flash cards have me tackling the job in the systematic manner that finally has me showing progress. It would be great if there were pictures to augment the memory associations, but that would have obviously required this app to be more expensive. I think I have a real chance at finally having at least a fundamental facility in French, when used in conjunction with other French language methods. Im also using Brainscapes verb conjugation app. And the full version of Rosetta Stone. But Rosetta Stone, as impressive as it is in simulating how a child naturally immerses in a language , doesnt provide the basic building blocks of verb conjugation and vocabulary lists.

Im very impressed with this app. They give a couple of free levels and then you have to pay but it is worth it. I hope they come up with a grammar one just like this.

Good app but the sync is not perfect if you have in iPhone and iPad

Very easy to use, good for all levels, I find myself wanting to open the app all the time.

Its boring because too simple

Yes, as another reviewer wrote, this is a very simple app designed for true beginners. However, that said, the slow speed and constant repetition of the words you dont know helps you to learn quite quickly and solidified your knowledge. Admittedly Ive only finished the first deck or so, but I found this to be a very helpful way to learn and I feel that other people might enjoy learning from it as well.

Hey so, I use this app occasionally and its good if you enjoy flash card-based learning or study. My main issue right now is not with the app itself, but with its notification reminding you to study today. I love reminders to study - lets get that out of the way. Everyone forgets sometimes. But the way this app reminds you - by saying "Your mother told us to remind you to study today" - is just....thoughtless. I know that the writers/developers mean well, and think theyre being cute, but its really thoughtless. Some people dont have mothers, either due to abandonment or death. Some have abusive mothers. I mean, at least give people the option to change the reminder to a less painful sentence.

I was very pleased with the app and was planning on purchasing the whole French series, but today I updated abs there blocked access to all but the first deck (even though I am half way through the second). I have been recommending this app to everyone, but this is shady and Ill try to find something better

I study about 20-30 words a day in my downtime and am slowly but steadily building my French vocabulary. The audio is very helpful as well. I highly recommend this app.

I enjoy it a lot, definitely helps if youre taking a French class though

Good functionality and improves your vocabulary.

Lots of vocab to learn, great audio clips of the pronunciation - clear and slow enough to capture the more difficult nuances in pronouncing French. The interface is perfect and easy to navigate. Could not ask for a better app
